HOW DONATIONS ARE USED

We rely entirely on donations and local fund raising for our income. We have a responsibility to maintain the fabric of our beautiful (but old and cold) church. We have to pay for electricity and insurance. We have to pay a contribution towards our minister’s stipend plus employers’ National Insurance and pension contributions. We have to pay a contribution towards our minister’s housing costs and training for new ministers. We do not pay towards costs of the Diocese or the Church of England nationally.

WHY AND HOW TO DONATE

Without donations we would not be able to keep the Church alive in Butlers Marston. The Church and all it stands for, and offers, is “open 24/7” 365 days a year. If you only use it for “hatch, match and despatch” remember that it needs paying for every day.

You can make donations at services by cash, card or ‘phone, by a regular payment via the Parish Giving Scheme, by “one off” donations (PGS again), or direct to our bank (HSBC account name Butlers Marston PCC, account number 11675311, sort code 40-43-19)

If you would like to make a donation for a specific reason ( for example, maintenance of the building fabric, churchyard maintenance) this is easily arranged. Please contact the treasurer or churchwarden for details.
